If you’re planning a summer birthday, here’s what works well in my experience and talks with others who host parties for their families.

For a younger guest group, go for playful themes like a water balloon fight party, a fruit fiesta, a beach theme indoor party, or a butterfly-themed birthday, as they are easy to pair with fun themed games and decorations. A picnic-style outdoor party is also a fun option.
Teens usually care less about the decorations and more about the vibe. In my experience, a beach party, backyard camping, or even an outdoor movie night keeps them happy and engaged.
