Big Family Thanksgiving Party With Separate Tables

This is a unique Thanksgiving party idea and one of my favorite as it is practical and fun too. If your guest list is big and you still want a sit-down style dinner party. Instead of squeezing e everyone at one table. Setup 2 tables, one for the grown ups and one for kids. And it makes so much sense. Lets be honest the formal table with candles, and beautifully folded napkins do not impress little ones and some food are too mature for their taste palate. So, let the grown up table be all Pinterest style Thanksgiving tablescape.

But for the little ones make something that impress them. Instead of linen. Place a activity based placement mat with pencil and crayons. Serve  kid-friendly menu like turkey sliders, mac and cheese, fries or mashed potatoes and mini pie and candy board ,that are easy for them to grab and eat. Make the table décor fun that they would enjoy and appoint the older cousin as table captain. This way adults can enjoy their conversation and kids can enjoy a more relaxed fun time.
