Minute to win it games are my favorite as they are fast moving and are easy to plan for any party. So when it comes to fall games and fall party you cannot miss on fall minute to win it games. In this post I am sharing one minute fall games that everyone can enjoy. From pumpkin games to autumn themed games, these are perfect for fall party activities or quick fall festival games for church.
Pumpkin Spice Stack
This one you can plan with all spice jars you have in kitchen, grab a handful of small spice containers, the little pumpkin pie spice or cinnamon jars work best. Players have to stack as many as they can in one minute using only one hand. This task looks easy at first, but once you are are past a few its gets tricky especially if you have spice jars of different shapes. The tower may start to lean or the last small jar can crash everything down. Make sure to use the sturdy plastic one with tight lids. Use empty jars if you are planning to play them with little ones or you can fill them with fall leaves or trinkets.
Apple Bobbing
This game is a classic fall minute to win it game you must plan to play with family. I am sure you must have played it, I find it nostalgic and so still keep it on the list with new fall games. This is perfect if you host a backyard fall gathering. Just fill a large tub or basin with water and add several apples in it to float. Players have to grab one using only their mouth, keep their hands behind the whole time. One one gets the most apples in 1 minute wins the game. Fall Leaf Blower
This game is such a fun to try if you are looking for something light for your fall party, and its super easy to set. Just set up a long table and give each player a fall leaves and a paper plate. Place the leaves at one end, each player must use the paper plate to fan and move the leaves to the other end of the table. Only with the simple rule of no touching the leaf with hands, whoever can move the leaf to the finish line or far under a minute wins. It is fun, simple that any age can play. This works best for a fall classroom party game too.
Candy Corn Catapult
This one is a quick, snack-themed game that does not need much setup. Place a big bowl of candy corn in t he middle and give each player a pair of chopsticks, and an empty cup. Players need to pick up the candy corn with the chopsticks and drop it into their cup, one piece at a time. Whoever gets the most under a minute wins. It feels easy but is tricky do under the pressure of time and making players to get it from the same bowl bring a fun competition of chopstick fights.
Apple Caramel Dip Challenge
This one is a more fun coz, you don’t just play but get treats to eat too. Give each player a plate of same number of apple slices and a small cup of caramel dip, along with pair of chopsticks or tongs. When the game starts each players must dip apple slices into the caramel and eat them using chopsticks only. At the end of 1 minute who ever has the least apple slices in the plate wins. It is not just handling apple slices with chopstick but they need to eat fast too. This one doubles as a snacks for the fall party too or a fall dessert-table game.

Pumpkin Head Balance
This one makes everyone laugh right from the start. Give each player a small pumpkin, the little decorative ones work best. Players have them balance it on their head while racing to a finish line. No hands allowed once the race starts. It looks simple when you explain it, but the moment people start walking, the pumpkin slides and everyone try to balance head or move slow. The one to reach the finish line first with the pumpkin still on their head wins. This one best if you are planning an outdoors party or have enough space indoor.
Scarecrow Stuffing
This one is a fall twist on the classic stuffing game and is quite unique and fun to play. Player need to put an oversized flannel shirt on the back of the chair and stuff it to make it look like a “scarecrow,” or you can make one player wear the shirt while the other player crumples up sheets of newspaper and stuffs into the shirt. Whoever make a decent looking scarecrow under 60 seconds wins. It really gets funny how the scarecrow looks or when they moves around. It is perfect for any age and fall gathering and works well for a fall classroom party activity too.
Cranberry Scoop
This game teaches patience. Fill a bowl with water and add fresh cranberries in it, they will float. Now place an empty bowl next to it. Players need to hold a small spoon in their mouth, and cannot use hands. And they have to move as many cranberries as they can from the water bowl into the empty bowl under one minute. The cranberries keep rolling off and sometimes they just get water and not berries in the spoon. Whoever moves the most cranberries wins.
Acorn Transfer
Acron and fall! you do need one game with this. Fill a large bowl with fall leaves and hay, and hide a bunch of acorns inside. Everyone use a pair of tongs or fork to dig through the mix and pull out as many acorns as they can under a minute and drop them into their own bowl, under a minute. The leaves and hay make it harder for them to spot the acorns, and they end up digging around blind a lot of the time. Whoever collects the most acorns wins.
Pumpkin Push Race
To play this game you will needs some open space, so it works best outdoors or in the entryway space. To play this game you need to give each player a broom or a stick and a pumpkin. Make a finish line at a short distance. Each player must push their pumpkin along the ground using only the broom and race to the finish line. If they pick up speed the pumpkin keeps rolling off to the side and players need to really try best to reach the finish line under a minute to win.
Candy Corn Shake
If you like chaotic fun you must try this game. Fill empty tissue boxes with an equal amount of candy corn and strap one to each player’s waist. Play some music and players must dance and shake themselves until all the candy corn falls out of the box. Whoever empties their box first or maximum one minute wins. It is not just fun to play but also to watch. It really gets funny watching everyone dancing in a way to remove the candy corns.
Apple Stack Challenge
This one is more about patience than speed. Have a pile of apples at one end and players need to pick one and make a stack of it at a short distance. Whoever has the most apples stacked when time runs out wins.
Leaf Toss Challenge
This one is very simple to set up and needs minimal efforts. Place few containers like boxes, bucket or basket at a short distance from the players and number them with score the nearest low and the far one with higher score. Give each player some pile of fall leaves, that they need to toss one at a time into the container to score points. Whoever gets the most points before the minute is up wins. It’s not easy to predict the leaves fly in the air.
Harvest Tongs
This one is perfect for a harvest party and also to get some work done. Give each player a few ears of corn and a pair of tongs. They have to peel the husk using only the tongs under a minute, no hands. Whoever peels the most corn clean wins. It is not very easy to do as the husk is stringy and clings on the tongs.
Pumpkin Seed Sort
This one is a quiet and focused game. Mix pumpkin seeds with a bunch of other small seeds or beans in one bowl, and have players sort out only the pumpkin seeds into a separate bowl using only their fingers. It really gets clumsy to pick only the pumpkin seeds amongst all especially for those with big hands. Whoever sorts the most pumpkin seeds in a minute wins. It sounds easy but its not much it is also good for fall classroom party.
Candy Corn Search
This one works is a good table game and does not need much space. Mix candy corn with other mixed treats or candy into a big bowl. Players must dig through the bowl with chopstick or fork to pull out just the candy corn pieces and place them in a separate cup, without using hands. Whoever finds the most candy corn under a minute wins. The more treats you mix in, the harder it gets to spot them at a glance. This game is prefect for kids as they get excited with so many treats.
Feather Float
This one is light and easy, perfect for a quick break between bigger games. Give each player a craft feather, they have to keep them in the air for a minute by blowing with their breath, no hands, head, fanning or anything else. The feather drifts anyways and it gets fun to watch players chasing it around and blowing from different angles to keep it in the air. Whoever keeps the feather in the air the longest wins or for a minute wins.
Squirrel Stash
This one is all about hand control and you will need some supplies. You need to give each player a clothespin, a small pile of hazelnuts or marbles and a narrow-necked bottle. Each player has to pick up nuts one by one with the clothespin and drop it into the bottle before the minute runs out. The narrow neck makes the games tricky as a lot of nuts end up bouncing off the rim , you can simplify the game by using any regular bottle. Whoever gets the most nuts in the bottle wins.
Scarecrow Dress-Up
This one is a fun 1 minute relay game that is very fun to play as a team. Set up an oversized flannel shirt, a straw hat, and a bandana at a short distance from the players. One person from the team will be the scarecrow. When the game starts, players have to run to this person and put on all three items one by one and then run back. Whoever gets fully dressed and back first wins. This game is high energy, will get everyone cheering.
Pumpkin Patch Dig
This one works great with a bigger group. Fill a large bin or tub with shredded paper, raffia, hay, dried leaves, or crinkle paper, and hide a bunch of mini pumpkins or other small fall-themed items inside. When the time starts all the players have to dig through and find as many fall themed hidden items as possible under a minute. The filler material makes it difficult to find small items the players are supposed to be looking for. You can plan this game at the end of the party and the players can take the items they find in the search for keep sake.
Pinecone Pitch
This game is all about strategy. To setup this game you need to place a few baskets or buckets at different distances from the players, and assign each one a point value, like 5, 10, and 20 for the farthest one. Players toss pinecones into the baskets for 60 seconds, and whoever scores the most points wins. Some may choose to go for the easy close basket over and over, while others may want to take risk and go for the far one. This game is not just fun to play but interesting to watch the approach different players take.
