20 Fun Bridal Shower Games Guests Will Love
My best friend was getting married, and of course, I had to plan her a bridal shower. The only thing? I had never even attended a bridal shower before. Luckily, my friend’s mom and the other bridesmaids were so kind and helpful, they walked me through the basics and explained how things usually go. When we divided up the planning tasks, I got assigned games (along with another bridesmaid), and I was honestly so excited.
Games are fun (kind of my expertise), and I figured it was something I could handle without accidentally messing up any traditions. So I went into full research mode, browsed Pinterest boards, read blogs, and asked around. And gathered a bunch of game ideas, and after refining the list, we ended up using many of them at her bridal shower. They were such a hit, fun to play, and full of laughs, and some were easy to execute. Here’s the final list of 20 bridal shower games I came up with, and I’m so glad I saved them. I will definitely be using this again for future bridal showers.

I first tried to understand everything about a bridal shower, and this post helped a lot. After some research, this is the final list of games.
Interactive & Funny Bridal Shower Games
What’s in Your Purse?
Okay, this game was HILARIOUS. I made a list of random things people might have in their purses, some normal, some totally unexpected. You got 1 point for lip balm, 5 points for sunglasses, 10 points for a pack of gum, and 20 points if you had something wild like a banana or a sock (yes, someone actually had a sock).
One of the guests had a tiny screwdriver in her purse (don’t ask me why ), and we all lost it. The person with the most points got a cute little prize—a scented candle.
Bloom Pass
This was like musical chairs, but instead of sitting, we passed around a bouquet while the music played. The moment the music stopped, whoever was holding it had to answer a fun question about the bride.
Some of my favorites were:
What’s the bride’s favorite ice cream flavor? (Spoiler: it’s cookies and cream )
Where did the bride and groom meet?
What’s one thing the groom loves about the bride?
We all learned so many cute little details, and there was SO much laughing.
Wedding Pictionary
I made little slips of paper with wedding-related words like “first dance,” “bride’s veil,” “throwing the bouquet,” and “wedding cake”. Then, teams had 60 seconds to draw while their teammates guessed.
One girl tried to draw “Honeymoon” and it looked like a sun with stick figures—no one got it, but we were all crying from laughter. Another person drew a perfect wedding cake, and everyone got it in seconds.
Bridal Emoji Pictionary
This one was a brain teaser but SO fun. I made a sheet with wedding phrases written in emojis, like:
(Bride to Be)
(Cutting the Cake)
(First Dance)
Everyone had to figure them out, and let me tell you—some people were STRUGGLING. One guest thought meant wedding vows… but nope, it was cold feet. The team that got the most correct won a mini spa kit.
Wedding Word Scramble
This is a fast game but super competitive. Make some scrambled-up wedding words like:
- “UBOQTEU” (Bouquet)
- “OEVL” (Love)
- “EDIRB” (Bride)
Give everyone 2 minutes to solve as many as they can; everyone will have to wear a thinking cap. A good game to slow down the party energy and get everyone settled.
Drinking & Social Bridal Shower Games
Ooooh, these drinking games were SO MUCH FUN at the bridal shower. Everyone was laughing, sipping, and having the best time. Let me tell you how they went down.
Sip If…
This game was a total icebreaker. I had a list of things like:
- Sip if… you’ve ever caught the bouquet at a wedding.
- Sip if… you’ve worn an ugly bridesmaid dress. (One guest took a BIG sip and told us about a lime green satin nightmare she had to wear. )
- Sip if… you’ve ever cried at a wedding. (Literally, every single person sipped. Weddings are emotional, okay?)
- Sip if… you met your significant other online. (This one got some giggles)
People started sharing little stories behind their sips, and we were all dying laughing. It was the perfect way to get everyone relaxed and talking.
Bride or Groom?
This game was so cute. Before the shower, I asked the bride and groom the same questions separately, like:
What’s your favorite thing about each other?
Who made the first move?
What’s your go-to date night?
I read their answers out loud, and guests had to guess: Did the bride or groom say it?
Some of them were easy, like when the groom said, “She takes 100 years to get ready, but it’s worth it.” Everyone KNEW that was him.
But some were tricky. The bride said, “We both love late-night Taco Bell runs”, and we all thought it was the groom.
At the end, the person with the most correct answers got a prize.
Sparkling Water Pong
Okay, this is basically a safer version of the original game. Arrange glasses filled with sparkling water; feel free to fill with other alternatives that the crowd is comfortable with. Make two teams, and their goal is to bounce a ping pong ball into the other team’s glasses. If it falls in the glass, the other team drinks that glass. Whichever team has the most glasses wins.
Sentimental & Sweet Bridal Shower Games
These games were some of the sweetest and most heartfelt moments of the bridal shower. They gave everyone a chance to share love, laughter, and a little wisdom with the bride.
Date Night Jar
Set up a little station with blank cards and a jar labeled “Date Night Ideas.” Guests can write down fun, creative date night ideas for the couple to try after the wedding. Later, everyone can read them aloud and have a fun talk about them. You never know, you may find some ideas that the bride would love and actually try.
Advice for the Bride
This one turned out to be a mix of serious wisdom and hilarious marriage tips. Guests wrote down their best advice, and the bride read them aloud. Some were heartfelt, like “Always say ‘I love you’ before bed, no matter what.” Others were funny, like “Never let him go grocery shopping hungry.”
One guest, who had been married for 30 years, wrote, “Pick your battles. If he loads the dishwasher wrong, just let it go.” The bride was cracking up because she already knew her groom was terrible at loading the dishwasher.
Memory Lane
This game was such a sentimental moment. Each guest wrote down a special or funny memory they had with the bride, and she had to guess who wrote it. Some were from childhood, some from wild college nights, and some from just everyday moments.
One guest wrote, “Remember when we got lost on a road trip and ended up at a random wedding?” The bride immediately knew who wrote that one because it was one of their funniest adventures.
Another memory was from her mom, who wrote, “The day you were born, you wouldn’t stop crying until I wrapped you in your dad’s old sweatshirt.” That one had everyone feeling emotional.
These games really made the shower feel personal and meaningful. The bride got to laugh, reminisce, and take home memories and advice she’ll cherish forever. If you want to add a personal touch to a bridal shower, these are the perfect games to include.
Acting & Icebreaker Bridal Shower Games
These games were so much fun and had everyone up, laughing, and getting to know each other. If you want a lively bridal shower, definitely include these.
Bridal Charades
Make a stack of cards with wedding-related actions like:
- Catching the bouquet
- Walking down the aisle in high heels
- A nervous groom saying “I do” with cold feet
- The awkward first dance
Guests must take turns acting them out without speaking, and everyone else must guess. Everyone will end up laughing, and it will be total fun
Love Song Lyrics
For this game, someone must read out famous love song lyrics in the most robotic, emotionless voice possible, and guests had to guess the song.
To make it even more fun, you can have a rule: if you guessed the song correctly, you have to sing a line from it.
Bride’s Bingo
This was perfect for the gift-opening part of the shower because it keeps everyone engaged. Before the bride starts to open gifts, Hand out bingo cards with squares like:
- “Bride tears up”
- “Someone says ‘Aww’”
- “The gift is something blue”
- “Bride says ‘We actually needed this’”
- “A guest takes a photo”
As the bride opened gifts, guests marked their squares. The first person to get five in a row must say “Bingo”. It will be fun to watch everyone look around to see who checks it off.
Competitive Bridal Shower Games
If you want a competitive and hilarious bridal shower, these games are the way to go. Everyone got super into it, and the friendly competition made the shower even more exciting.
Make a Wedding Dress
To play this, split into teams, and each team must pick someone as a “bride.” And create the most stunning wedding dress using only toilet paper in five minutes. When time is up, each “bride” must walk like a fashion show, and the bride must pick her favorite.
The Price is Right: Wedding Edition
This game is perfect for testing who actually knows how expensive weddings are. Make a list of wedding-related items with real prices, and guests have to guess the cost without going over (just like the TV show).
For example, some of the items that can be used are:
- Wedding cake – $500
- Engagement ring – $6,000
- Wedding venue – $12,000
- Bridal bouquet – $200
The person with the closest guess wins a small prize.
Wedding Movie Trivia
If you love rom-coms, this game is for you. Make a list of famous wedding movie quotes and fun facts, and guests have to guess the movie.
Example questions:
- Which movie has the line, “You are the worst best man ever”? (The Wedding Ringer)
- In ‘27 Dresses,’ how many weddings did the main character attend? (27, of course)
- What movie features a runaway bride who keeps changing her favorite type of eggs? (Runaway Bride)
It will be a fun quiz time.
Photo & Instagram-Worthy Bridal Shower Games
Bridal Photo Hunt
This one turned into a full-on selfie competition. I made a list of fun challenges, like:
- Take a selfie with someone wearing pink
- Take a selfie making a “shocked” face with the bride
- Take a selfie with a drink in your hand
- Take a selfie with someone you just met today
- Take a selfie doing your best “bridesmaid pose”
As soon as I handed out the list, people were running around trying to complete them all first. One guest even jumped into a group photo with total strangers just to get her “photo with three people” checked off. The bride got so many hilarious photos from this game.
Strike a Pose
Set up a photo booth area with fun wedding props like:
- Oversized heart-shaped glasses
- A veil and tiara
- A sign that said “Bride Squad”
- A fake bouquet to “toss”
Guests can pretend to propose like the classic “caught the bouquet” jump. By the end of the party, everyone will have a ton of Instagram-worthy (and totally ridiculous) photos.
Guess the Dress
Okay, this one was pure gold. I handed out paper and markers and told everyone to draw what they thought the bride’s wedding dress would look like.
We had everything from super-realistic sketches to absolute stick-figure disasters. Some people added:
- A 20-foot train
- Huge, poofy Cinderella skirts
- A mini dress with a leather jacket (for an ‘edgy bride’ look)
- A dress with LED lights (someone clearly watches too much reality TV)
The best part? The bride picked two winners—one for most accurate and one for funniest. The funniest? A guest drew a giant cupcake-shaped dress and said, “I just feel like this is your vibe.” (It was definitely NOT her vibe, which made it even funnier)
From My Party Notes
- You don’t need many games; a good mix of 6 to 7 games is enough.
- When selecting the game, be mindful of the age and group of people who are attending. Since a bridal shower often includes future in-laws and aunts, I avoid anything that may be too modern or wild. Save them for the bachelorette.
- Have a good mix of high-energy games and some that can calm down and plan the game sequence, considering it.
- We had the most fun with the game Bride or Groom? And What’s in Your Purse? Advice for the Bride and Memory Lane made the bridal shower more thoughtful and involved the elders’ active participation. These were big hits.
- Keep at least one game that’s low-effort and last-minute friendly, like “Sip If…”, in case you need a backup game.
- Most importantly, keep printouts of everything required for games handy. I kept all the printed game sheets, answer keys, and extras in a folder, organized by game. Sounds nerdy, but it saved me. Also, don’t forget pens. I bought a cheap bulk pack and kept them in a little cup on the side table. That way, no one was digging through their purse during emoji pictionary.
- If possible, arrange small gifts like, candle, chocolates, bath bomb for the winners, packed neatly.
